Well, that's the official stuff. Now about the real me...
I'm really a cat person, but have two large dogs. Go figure. I also love birds. Had a parakeet for awhile, which I really enjoyed, but she escaped the house one day.
I love the TV show JAG. It's no longer on the air, but as of January 2008, the first five seasons have been released on DVD. It's a great show, and if you love it as much as I do, feel free to shoot me an email. I'd love to hear from you.
I also enjoy Star Trek Deep Space Nine and Voyager. The Next Generation is okay, but pretty cheesy.
My favorite movies are 'A Walk to Remember', 'Sweet Home Alabama', and 'Casino Royale'- love Daniel Craig as the new Bond.
Musically, I love country (Brooks and Dunn rock!), classic rock (Billy Joel), some classical, some Christian (love Agnus Dei by Third Day), marching band music (you know the stuff you hear on the Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year's Day).
I love iced tea, Dr. Pepper, and chocolate milk. I could live on cereal if I had to. ;) I love bread - real dense bread slathered in real butter. Okay, just about any bread slathered in butter. Pretzels, Rocky Road ice cream, Snickers, Haribo Gummi Bears, Twizzlers, Good and Plentys. I've developed a theme here. Way too much sugar. I don't indulge as often as it sounds. I can make a pretty mean chef's salad when necessary.
I'm somewhat crafty - I like to sew and stamp (rubber stamps, ink, home made cards...). I can think up really good craft projects for Cubbies or my kids to do for school (although they never listen).
I have a thing for historical architecture, like the late 1800s, you know all those cool buildings on Main Streets of small towns. Fort Worth definitely has it's share. And someday I might study it for use in a book. If you know of any good web sites with images of your town way back when, shoot me an email.
I am somewhat of a nerd as I find parliamentary procedure interesting and I play with html and css (that's web site design stuff).
And in case you couldn't guess, I love the military. My dad was in the Air Force for many many years, so was my step-mother, and that's where I met my husband. He was Air Force, not me. I just worked in the dining hall.
